Dagger Peninsula
Oth. 1. A dual-pointed sliver of land to the south of the City of Oth notable for being a haven for bandits and cutthroats. The peninsula hosts two sheltered shallow harbors which operate outside the control of the Merchants' Guild and the the Derecauln. The surcharges levied by local crimelords and groups however make dealing through these ports almost as expensive, and very risky.  Dagger Peninsula is not a a natural formation. (see Dagwurdunjun)
Daggon the Horrible
Dek. 1. An aspect of Sudul that seeds nightmares and prophecies of forthcoming evil in the minds of mortals.
Dagolun
Dek. 1. Alias of Thurkan the Apprentice used by the Order of the Arch; probably based on an ancient version of Thurkan.  Dagolun was not an aspect of Roth, but rather a primary deity of a primitive pantheon.  He was worshipped both as an agricultural god and a patron of the hearth, building and the security of the home.

Dek. 1.  Ancient prison fortress erected south of the City of Oth where criminals, heretics, and political prisoners from all across Dekàlas were housed from the 5th century HK until its destruction by fire in 55 DR.  The vast dungeon's ruins comprise most of the Dagger Peninsula, with the corrupt town of Genter built upon and throughout its ruin.

O.Oth. (320-374 DR) 1. Member of the Daralien family of Oth, deceased. 2. Husband of the High Lady Nuala Rott the First of Oth.  A solitary lord, Alain often sequestered himself in old towers within the ancient walls of Kry Shurulm where he would be unseen for months on end.  His wife sought him out on his 54th birthday but found him dead in an abandoned wing of the sprawling fortress.  Instead of burying her husband, Nuala ordered the chamber sealed forever.

O.Oth. 1. A term used in Oth's Lower Streets to indicate a group (or fold) that have banded together for some higher purpose than survival. 2. Band of adventurers under Oth, tied by ancient magics to serve the purpose of an unknown host(s).

Darshshell
Oth. 1. A dense neighborhood north of Oth known for its narrow and twisting streets. An amphitheater once stood where the town "square" is now, but the place is now in ruins, inhabited by vagrants who have filled the bowl with tilting shacks and flimsy roofs. The town is otherwise unremarkable except for its pointed roofs and high grey blue scaled (ceramic) gables.

O.Oth. 1. An illicit organization. 2. A massive underground organization whose presence and influence are readily apparent throughout Oth. It is speculated that there is some connection between the Derecauln and the Merchants' Guild. 3. The Derecauln was founded in the first century DR by the renowned thief, Gerrit Kauln; the name Derecauln (Verekauln) originates from the Dekàlan meaning "Hands of Kauln".

Direagôl
Dir. 1. Language of the Druul Nelveral. Direagôl is a complex language that involves hand-gestures.  A speaker unable to use his hands (or see hands being used) cannot communicate effectively in Direagôl.  On the other hand, the language can be used to some extent with only hand gestures.

Acen./Dek. 1. Kingdom in central Acentra, once conquered by the Dekàlans. 2.  Acentran kingdom once part of Virillis.

Tylus Dkran
O.Oth. 1. Man appearing on wanted posters through the City of Oth in Eren 652. He was described as a short, brutish man with dark hair, broken teeth, and bad breath. The Merchants' Guild is offering a 300 aurad reward for his capture.

O.Oth. 1. The dead; specifically the undead, or roaming-dead (probably a variation of Draun).
Dnur Fen
O.Oth. 1. Marsh of the dead. There are old accounts of an ancient graveyard along the coast to the north of the City of Oth, though no one has found the fabled grounds. Some believe that they were swallowed by the swamp, but since it is difficult to give an age to the marsh, they remain no more than tales. 2. Swamp existing to the north of Oth, along the Goblin Coast.

Dek. 1. Unnaturally powerful undead. 2. A misguided priest or wizard who have embraced the eternity of death in the world of the living.  Dnuroo are bound to an item or place, which also serves as the source of their power.
Doçmal
O.Oth. 1. One of three High Priests of the Temple of Roth.  Doçmal is well-muscled man who wears charred leather with a high leather cap.  Dark skinned, he has a bright white smile with a full-set of strong teeth.  Doçmal, like many priests of Roth is a skilled smith and works from dawn till dusk at his forge in the lower temple.  At night he can be found at taverns along the Temple Square drinking Halver ale.

Oth. 1. A neighborhood to the west of Oth, bordering the Run Dul.

Dek. 1. An ancient megalithic stone tomb or memorial found in Aylyra, often used by the Eoyn as a community centers.
Dolrum Dayr
Dek. 1. Large dolrum where Ummoni forces exterminated a large Eoyn community during the second invasion of Aylyra. The town of Dayr was never found, and exists in Ildûni legend as the last stronghold of the Eoyn.
Doran
Oth. 1.. Woman thief. Member of the Derecauln, loaned to Ferret for his operation in Candan. Doran was skewered to death by Alcerra Nadrelan in the Fiery Wench Tavern during the Candan Massacre.

O.Oth. 1.. One of three robbers that ambushed, robbed, and bludgeoned Dammon Shroudson in the Naryard on 12 Tolth 652.

O.Oth. 1. One of eight priests that parted the Kyurada Vor. 2. An original Red Scribe.
Dras
O.Oth. 1. An Othic wizard who wears peasant rags, a tall cap, and walks with with the aid of a long bent walking stick.  His broken teeth glow muted gray between wide gaps in his smile.  His right leg is yellow and has a resemblance to dried-fruit.  He was apprenticed to the wizard Natan, who removed a femur from Dras, hollowed it, and inserted an ancient and powerful scroll into the young man's leg.  The bone died and despite magic healings the leg shriveled.  Dras does not know why his leg is the way it is.
Draun
Dek. Fisher of Souls 1. An ancient cult devoted to the faith and ceremony of the god of death. Evidence of the cult is found within the oldest crypts and graveyards of Oth, though no house of the cult has been found there in recent history. The Mourner's Guild is believed to be a vestige of the cult; though the deity's name is not invoked by that present-day organization. (see Draun)
Dreaming Ring
Jad. 1. Magically disorienting region of mists surrounding Jadth which prevents the unfaithful from approaching and finding the city.  Ships entering the mists unwelcomed have reportedly found themselves months later in distant seas across the world. (see Kadarra)
Dreamlands
Jad. 1. Jungle region surrounding Jadth; notorious for its hallucinogenic flower blooms.
Dreg
O.Oth. 1. A fat, thick-bearded Halver, Dreg is one of the wealthier people that live in Oth.  The Oth brewery had layed in ruins for twenty years before an explosion destroyed it and killed his grandfather, before Dreg rebuilt it and revitalized the town bearing his family's name.  Dreg produces the finest ale in the City of Oth.  A prominent member of the Merchants' Guild, he has vast influence and popularity in the City.  His printed likeness (with a small anvil) appears on most kegs and bottles that he sells.  His generosity to the Temple of Roth has led to a movement amogn the younger ranks to incorporate Dreg's Ale into ceremonies involving the god Roth, though high priests of the temple do not see this as appropriate, preferring to use the traditional black wine.
Dreg's Brewery
Oth. 1. A town to the southwest of Oth along the Run Dul, home to a community of Halvers and several breweries and drinking halls. Dreg's brewery was revitalized recently (circa 648 DR) following the explosive destruction of the Dreg Brewing Hall in 627 DR. (see Dreg)
Norod Drem
O.Oth. 1. A quiet man who acts on purposes his own.  Norod is a tall man with small eyes.  He does not dislike his fellow man, but prefers the tranquility that woods around the City of Oth provide.  He is welcoming and hospitable to visitors but does not seek them out.  He is well-versed in local stories of the region.  Norod has cleared a good-sized portion of the Northwood by himself.  He is an expert lumberjack with some natural craft and engineering talents.  The Goblin Queen has recently bought his services to make some simple and sturdy seige equipment.  His house is filled with axes of various sizes.

A drifting island of Dream where Oberyl lived and composed for a time; more recently the home of the abandoned Ilsôryl of Darshyrael and the Slave.  Since the arrival of Oberyl at Dun Ngur, the island's indigenous population have divided into the meek Listeners and the predatory Wretched.

Dw. 1. Any member of the Dwürden sub-race. 2. A Dwürden sub-race distinguishable as above average height, with wrinkled and brown skin. The Dwürden Fal live in hilly surface areas.

Dw. 1. Any member of the Dwürden sub-race. 2. A Dwürden sub-race believed to live in or around volcanic areas.
Dwürden Mor
Dw. 1. Any member of the Dwürden sub-race. 2. A Dwürden sub-race distinguishable as stout and heavy, with tan skin and brown to grey hair. The Dwürden Mor live in mountainous surface areas.
Dwürden Nar
Dw. 1. Any member of the Dwürden sub-race. 2. An evil Dwürden sub-race distinguishable as below-average height, with pale skin and white eyes. Dwürden Nar are accustomed to the deepest underground environs.
Dwürden Skral
Dw. 1. Any member of the Dwürden sub-race. 2. A Dwürden sub-race distinguishable as below-average height, with grey-white skin and white hair. Dwürden Skral are accustomed to and rarely leave the underground. Most have an innate ability to blend with their natural surroundings.
