Nedral Lacharthradan, Laçarthádan
Dek. (923-1045 HK) 1. A Panathan wizard of the late Dekàlan empire whose categorized works of Draga Alemen are among the most renown for the art.  On the day before his death in 1045 HK, Laçarthádan was reported to have addressed the Council of Lanàdus at Kryr Tremendum and the High Circle of Zyrrn, presenting to each a full copy of his compiled works.

O.Oth. 1. An old Candalan invoker credited with the creation of many small but useful battle magics based on the accounts and observations of Elve sorceries.

Dek. (LUH nah Dahr i) 1. A person or item from Nor Calas Lanàdus.

Dek. 1. Dekàlan island city-state founded in and devoted to the worship of Iráen.

O.Oth. 1. The sixth month of the year. The last month of summer.

A.Lan.. 1. Prior name for island kingdom now known as Lanàdus.

Anzal Lapth
O.Oth. 1. A Loston farmer who sat, talked, and smoked with Jak and Tressta on 11 Druur 652.
Laris
O.Oth. 1. Guildmaster of the Mourners' Guild of the Harbor Ward in the City of Oth. He assured Alcerra Nadrelan and Mishara Silverpoint that Olaunda Aldar wasn't dead in Lanal 652.
Lasserbrig
Unkn. 1. Bronze-skinned tavernkeeper of Farren. His tavern hosts two common rooms for travelers and three private rooms for the more discriminating. Lasserbrig makes and bottles wine from wildflowers in the area, but is known mostly for his mussel soups which he pays local children to collect from local streambeds. The "lion's head" plaque hanging above the tavern door was drawn according to a description given him by his long dead mother, an immigrant to the area.

Lan. 1. A coronation ceremony involving the ritual release of blood followed by the execution of a conquered ruler.  2. Letting was also ritually used to transfer power from a cult to the High King. (see more)

O.Oth. ( -652 DR) 1. Woman that gave Dammon Shroudson a room and boarding on his first (remembered) night in the City of Oth. Leva was brutally killed by having her hands bound to the sides of an iron cauldron with her face submerged in its boiling water.

Leyrdryel
Tirg. 1. Legislative court of Elve that oversee Elve interests in northeastern Terèthor, Arduwu.  The Leyrdryel were instrumental in orchestrating the Acentran-Dekàlan War. Toward the war's end, a few members of the ancient council were killed.  The assassinations caused a stir among the Elve which some credit with the war's incomplete outcome.  Most believe that the assassinations were performed by a faction ineterested in ending the war.  Others believe that the murders were done by Uren, namely Acentran turncoats which were privy to the Leyrdryel's proceedings at that time.

Ligrel
O.Oth. ( -552 DR) 1. An old mage of the City of Oth who was accused of sorsèreul treason, hunted, and executed by the local sirkùli. 2. Acclaimed author of Phlogostra Ligrel.
Little Willy
Oth. 1. Erhetian thief killed by Kaithah Argentale during the attack on Bugaven's Feast and Sleep.  A frail young man, Little Willy was most famous among Erhetians for his willingness to swim the Inunda Dul during mushroom harvests, rather than use a boat or canoe.  It was said that he'd been bitten by every snake in the swamp so often that he was immune to their venoms.
Oblum Little
Oth. 1. A local Erhet bouncer and thug killed by Nirst Ohlmdamnor during the attack on Bugaven's Feast and Sleep.  Oblum grew up outside Erhet on his father's pig farm.  When the pigs grew sick and had to be killed, and his father committed suicide shortly thereafter, Oblum moved into the town of Erhet and quickly found work as a laborer, building and moving barrels.  After years of cooperage, a saw accident cost him his left hand and ended his vocation.  A large man, Oblum took odd jobs and finally landed a job as a bouncer which kept him fed and sheltered until his death in 652 DR.  He had become involved with the Derecauln years before, offering a heavy hand when the need arose.
Llendalf
O.Oth. 1. A successful innkeeper, and proprietor of Llendalf's Inn and Meeting Place, on the Perimeter of Temple Square.  Llendalf is a foreigner, having brought his money and business north from Kandal, settling in Oth to serve southern-style ales and meals.  A wine connoisseur, he is displeased with the available collection in Oth. Whenever shipments of southern-wine or Elve wine reach Oth, he is often one of the first to show and make an offer.

Lom
O.Oth. ( -431 DR) 1. Rothic ethicist and founder of the Order of Workers, a religious fraternity of men and women who devote themselves and their labors to Roth.
Lookout
Oth. 1. A high balcony within Kyrm Oryroth from which the whole of the City of Oth can be viewed.
Lookout Point
Oth. 1. Promontory along the Despairing Coast.
Lord's Island
Oth. 1. A long island to the north and east of the City of Oth that has traditionally been the sole property of the ruler of the City. In the past, the island has been used to host large outdoor parties, ceremonies, and rituals vital to the ruling family. There are several hunting lodges and manor houses scattered across its length for both the Lord and his visitors, but most have stood empty for many years. The island is well guarded against poachers seeking to tap the reserves of the Lordsleaf Forest.
Lordsleaf Forest
Oth. 1. A small but plentiful forest that extends across most of Lord's Island. Unlike its neighbor, the Northwoods, the Lordsleaf Forest has suffered no loss of wildlife in years past, and remains vibrant. The forest has been especially so in recent years, as Lord Rott has not hunted the forest for nearly a decade (cir 652 DR). Many of the Lord's meals however, are hunted in the Lordsleaf by his servants.
Lord's Men
Oth. 1. Name given to the Lord's soldiers and guards in the City of Oth to distinguish them from the Merchant Guard.
Lord's Musicians
Oth. 1. Group of musician retainers that live and practice in the bowels of Kry Shurulm, hoping to be called upon to play. Their leader is Ajandu Wurthum.

Grug. 1.  A famous Grumun.

Dek. 1. Speaker of a language.
lorru
O.Jad. 1. A fish common to the Run Suluth delta that for some reason emits a loud shriek like a woman's cry whenever it emerges from the water.  The fish are orange and red in color and are considered bad luck to catch (they scream terribly) and a curse to eat.  Lorru-eaters is a euphemism for desperate people.
Loston
O.Oth. 1. A woodland farming town to the north of the City of Oth, sitting on the eastern shore of the man-made Nularya Lun. 2. Location of the iron slave.
Loston Inn
Oth. 1. A large two-story stone and timber inn on the eastern edge of Loston which is frequented by merchants and lumberman trading along the Northwood Road.
Lower Streets
Oth. 1. A subterranean region believed to sprawl beneath the City of Oth. The area may consist of ancient streets, having been over-built across the millennia. It is now believed to be the domain of the Poisoners Guild (among others) and therefore rarely mentioned in more than whispers among decent folk.  (see more)

Oth. 1. Sub-section of the Naryard that rests between the wards hills.

Lunren
Oth. 1. A pauper kingdom within the Southswall, to the west of Genter.

Dek. 1.  Channel through which divinity may directly communicate with mortals; usually manifesting itself as a column of fire that both instructs and destroys the receiver.  2. Zodiacal sign of the flaming pillar.
Luros
Dek. 1.  Zodiacal sign of the man; soldier.
Lyrast
O.Oth. 1. Eastern half-continent of Vulmura-Lyrast.
Lzar
O.Jad. 1. Barkeep of the Daluj Malar in the City of Jadth.  Vorén suspected Lzar of underhanded dealings when the barkeep seemed to disappear when Vorén was ambushed.  Lzar is also known for his two prized Varsti.  (see more)
