"A song in your heart
A story to share
A dance trapped inside
An inexpressible vision
An insatiable soul
May lead you here."

Book of Language - Ezmiran

Ezmiran Lingua

The language of Ezmir, like all other languages, is a collection of other tongues.  Although heavily influenced by the their Dekàlan overlords, the language remains very distinct from old Dekàlan or modern Taládan.  Influences on Ezmiran include early primitve Uren languages (related to Oloodi and Caramin) and Dwürden.

Ezmiran Script

Old Ezmiran was written using the Dwürden scripts.  Modern Ezmiran is commonly scribed using the modern Taládan script of Taldàvar.  Like most Old Empire scripts, Taldàvar is not far removed from High Davar and can often be read by those reasonable proficient with the ancient letters.

Transliterization

The Ezmiran alphabet uses the same lettering as Taldàvar, but does utilize the various accents common to most languages derived from Dekàlan.
