Bacrab
O.Oth. 1. Strong baker's apprentice who was captured, tortured, and put in a wagon with Kaithah Argentale. He used his crippled hands to rip three boards from the wagon's bottom, so that the occupants could escape. Bacrab was brained by a Minion's mace in the streets of Oth, immediately following the escape.

Oth. 1. A pauper kingdom within the Southswall.
Barony Road
Oth. 1. Old mining road that winds through the Black Hills from Erhet to the region around Eironhold.
Barran
O.Oth. 1. Great High Priest of Roth at Kyrm Oryroth.
The Barrens
Oth. 1. A desolate area bordering the Run Dul within the walls of Oth. An area frequented by thieves and low-lifes, and used by some as an entrance into the Lower Streets.
Bathasar
O.Oth. 1. An Eldán mage.
Battle of Snaking Pass
Oth. 1. Ancient battle where the united Ortori armies of Ragred I were defeaten by Dekàlan legions circa 840 HK. 2. First recorded use of the Dekàlan fire-catapult; used to destroy Ortori fortifications in the pass.
Belder
O.Oth. 1. Crude and outspoken Jaris man who frequents the Red Cock.
Cisco Beret
Oth. 1. Member of the Darkfold Chronicle. (see also Cisco)
Berl
Dek. 1. Dekàlan zodiacal sign of the anvil.
blackbreath
Oth. 1. An insinuative poison that turns the victim's tongue black and causes the person to cough black spore clouds.
blackeyed drippy
Oth. 1. A poison cultivated from a violet flower in the Inunda Dul that causes blindness.
Black Guard
Oth. 1. An honorary guard sent from Lanàdus in ancient times, to show support for a High Lady or Lord in good standing with the Council of Lanàdus, or used to deliver news of great importance. 2. The Godless Command; a unit of elite Dekàlan soldiers programmed to honor the High King and local Temples without regard to their own.

blackheart
Oth. 1. An insinuative poison that induces myocardial infarctions. 2. Name of the small mushroom from which the poison is milked.
Black Hills
Oth. 1. Rocky band of heavily mined foothills along the northeastern edge of the Evalshat Mountains. 2. Sacred region to the priests of Roth, believed to have been where their god led them, and directed them to build the City of Oth. The hills are covered with scrub and weeds, having suffered from ages of surface mining and re-directed water. There is little natural wildlife among the knobby hills. (see Moren Nodrul)
Black Ortor
Oth.. 1. A sub-species of Ortor that is physically smaller than most Terèthori Ortor (see Sortor).
Black Tom
Oth. 1. Large black axe warrior with pointed teeth; native of the Fiery Isthmus. 2. A member of Endren's Seven.
Nereb Blacktongue
Oth. 1. A silversword of the Merchant Guard Wesridge post. 2. The arresting officer when Alcerra was captured in a nearby graveyard "unlawfully" wearing armor in public. Due to her subsequent release, Nereb is sure to have lost money on the arrest.
Blessing of the Blades
Oth. 1. Holy rite performed by worshippers of Attrakar the Artificer in times of war.
bloodling
Oth. Scion of the Blood 1. Original creature risen from the blood of the First War; an entity of legendary strength and power. 2. A titan.
The Bloody Inn
Oth. 1. Popular inn of Dolor run by Iala Maradcha; named for its proximity to the Run Merdus.  
Taltas Bludspar
Acen. 1.  Necromancer king of Acentra who incited the passions of the Council of Lanàdus which led to the first Dekàlan Crusade.

Ort. 1. Red Ortor.
Bluntleaf
Oth. 1. Narcotic cultivated and enchanted by the Northwood Elve and exported into mortal ports of eastern Terèthor.  The high is called "blunted" and makes mortals stupid, lethargic, and un-motivated; blunt effect lasts 20-30 minutes.  The weed is usually smoked in pipes and is very addictive, with dens appearing as far south as Candal.  [ Fortitude save to avoid addiction (DC 15); desire fades after 10 days without, no save against subsequent uses after first failure; active effect Int -2, For -1, Will -1; withdraw effect For -2, Will -2. ]
Boat Road
Oth. Portage Way 1. Ancient track bed along which ships constructed in the City of Oth were transported to the town of Portage, for depositing into the Nyr Platan.
Bocor
O.Oth. (460-550 DR) 1. Targan mage-anatomist who collected parts of creatures and people to created the Assembled.  Bocor was killed by his creations which came to detest themselves but abhor all "wholes".  His body was found by Jak the Red in the basement of Kurum Nekulth.  (see more)

Dek. (bohl ohr GAHR) 1. A large lateen and square sailed merchant ship used throughout the Old Empire; a polacre. (see more, also rul órgar)
Botton Liche, Bottòn Liç
Dek. 1. A small tabby-walled fishing town along the west shore of Argud's Sound.
The Bowls
O.Jad. 1. An ancient edifice consisting of several giant stone bowls standing at the center of Jadth's Old City.  The Bowls serve as the High Temple of Sudul, Kyrm Or'Sudul.
Bragnar Bar Ort
Ort. 1. The clan of the woman-eaters; an Ortor clan that live on the eastern mountain slopes along the Candalan coastline and throughout the western marches of Saranth.

Oth. 1. A sealed area of the Lower Streets used by the Eldá to store items of worth. Area where Dammon Shroudson and Jak the Red "imprisoned" Lady Malazra.
