The Peerage of Balzidas
The Second Panàthan Dynasty (House Balzidas)
The Balzidas Dynasty remains the shortest lived reign
of any Panàthan family. Following on the heels of the
ancient and bloody Nakhêr
Dynasty, the Temple and city-state were ready for a more peaceful
ruling family that embodied the qualities of Path,
rather than the qualities of Rün
or Zyrr. In 216, the cult of
Sudul was still new within the empire, but the Pathic priests summoned
Umiel the Seer, a Sudulite priest, to Panath to advise the Panathan
Council on their choice. Umiel collected blood from each of
the prospective successors, and distilled from this all qualities
antithetical to Path. When the ritual was completed, only
one drop of blood remained.
The Family Lineage from Arân Balzidas
1. King Arân Balzidas the Second of Panath.
He was born in 210 HK. He was crowned King by the priests of
Path in 218 HK at the isle of Indurik, Panath. As his first "decree"
(many believe the Temple ordered this on the young King's behalf), Arân
II ordered the construction of the Nine Halls of Panath. He married
Lady (--?--) (--?--) in 227 HK at Panath. He died in 262 HK at Panath.
The Golden Crown passed to his only son...
2. King Mulbazn Balzidas the First of Panath.
He was born 228 HK at Panath. He was crowned King by the priests
of Path in 262 HK at the isle of Indurik, Panath. He married Lady
(--?--) (--?--) in 247 HK at Panath. Mulbazân I is remembered
as an engineering genius, and is credited with the re-design of war galleys
and merchant ships used by the Panathans, and eventually all of Dekàlas.
He died in 283 HK at Panath. The Golden Crown passed to his
daughter...
3. Queen Nanduboáth Balzidas the Second of
Panath. She was born 248 HK at Panath. She was crowned Queen
by the priests of Path in 283 HK at the sile of Indiruk, Panath. She
never married. She died in 302 HK at Panath. The Golden Crown
passed from the Balzidas to the Kathil-Zadar
family in 307 HK.
