The Peerage of Skarçard The Third Othic Dynasty (House Skarçard) For five centuries the Skarçard Dynasty ruled Oth during a turbulent and changing time in its early history. Not least of all was the Othelve War (circa 680 HK) and the subsequent construction of Duruun's Wall (circa 685 HK). On the edge of the Telabra Plain, covered in creeper and encircled by a sea of briars stands a faceless statue, whose plaque was long ago stolen. The statue was erected in 693 HK (almost a 1200 years ago) to Endmun the Fourth of the Skarçard, most famous of this, the third Othic dynasty. The Family Lineage from Zir'a Skarçard 1. Queen Zir'a Skarçard the Second of Oth. She was born in 611 HK. She was crowned by the priests of Roth in 630 HK at Kyrm Oryroth. She married High Lord Endmun Zastar in 635 HK at Kry Shurulm. She died during childbirth in 637 HK. The Iron Crown passed to her son through her husband... 2. Regent Endmun Skarçard the Second of Oth. He was born 612 HK at Taldàna. He was named Regent by the priests of Roth in 637 HK at Kyrm Oryroth, which he served until his son's coronation in 651 HK (at the age of 14). He re-married Lady Bana in 642 HK at the Shrine of Roth, Kry Shurulm. He killed his second wife in 651 HK shortly thereafter jumping from Tower Island onto the rocks below. He married in 679 HK at Kar Raduin's Temple of Roth, Taddus Ru, Oth. He died in 703 HK in Oth. A statue erected to Endmun IV in 704 HK within the Telabra Plain (now at the edge) once bore a plaque reading "With thirty and four Elve having died at his blade, Never a finer warrior king has this Iron City made." The Iron Crown passed to his son... 6. King Sharn Skarçard the First of Oth. The Killing King. He was born 683 HK at Oth, in the midst of the Othelve War. He was crowned by the priests of Roth in 703 HK at Kyrm Oryroth, at which time he promised more Elve would die by his hands than his father's. King Sharn I ordered that all Elve and Halvarel of his realm and surrounding lands be brought to Kry Shurulm. There, he vastly expanded the capacity and devices of the keep's dungeons. Many of the torture chambers and cells constructed during his reign remain to this day. It is guessed that over 1,200 Elve and Halvarel were tortured and killed during this time. He was married four times, in 700 HK to Lady Muara Sirjor, in 722 HK to Lady Turanda Malkor, in 726 HK to Lady Zan'a Kal'arin (see #5 above), and in 734 HK to Tas'era Salath (rumored to be a Halveral prisoner with whom he fell in love). King Ettikus Skarçard the First of Oth. He was born 721 HK at Oth, to High Lord Sharn Skarçard (701-747 HK), first born of King Sharn I. He was crowned by the priests of Roth in 747 HK at Kyrm Oryroth, where he'd been sequestered in 722 HK since the start of a wave of assassinations that killed most of his extended family. His father was next in line, but died before he could be crowned, two days after his grandfather's death. The coronation was protested by High Lord Zilus Skarçard but the Temple ruled against him, and for their own. He was ordained as a Priest of Roth in 743 HK at Krym Oryroth. He married Cr. He was crowned in a private ceremony by the priests of Roth in 769 HK at Kyrm Oryroth. He never married, but did have an illegitimate daughter Ulsa (778 HK) who was assassinated days before her father died, probably to avoid the argument of succession. He died in 792 HK at Oth. His unpopularity made the young king increasingly paranoid, so much so that he organized a group of assassins to rid him of his perceived enemies.
