In'Orol is the final month
of In'Tereth (winter) for the northern hemisphere.
It is the month associated with the coldest, most
harsh weather of the calendar year. Due to the
'dying' of trees, plants, and people during this period,
Dekàlans commonly associate the month with death
(rf. Draun). The
Dnurdam holiday celebrates the end of passing year and
remembrance of those that were taken with it. Though
the holiday continues through the Monthturn into Amarad,
most forego the last half of Dnurdam in favor of Arven
Dor celebrations.
