Overview of the 4th Month

Flald is the first In'Phlogos (summer) month of the northern hemisphere.  The beginning of summer is heralded by the summer festival of In'Phlogos Tam.  The celebration is marked by games, sports, and a vast selection of crafts and goods that artisans spent the last six cold and wet months preparing.

First Tenday

3.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Adjeryx completes more potions; Jak (+1), Tressta (+1 STR). Collecting herbs and mushrooms.  Evening; Dammon learns Alchemy/Brew Potion from old man through Tressta.  People are learning Ezmiran (Jak 12, Dammon 14).  Everyone sits for a final dinner together before heading out for Boronon in the morning. (O-53)

4.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Group returns to road.  Evening; Camp. (O-54)

5.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Group continues south along road. Find corpse at base of tree.  Day; Exit forest.  Evening; Camp in countryside by large tree.  Rekjur happens by, invites group to stay at farm.  Night; Dammon carves Sudul symbol for little girls bedroom. Jak stays awake with farmer's wife. (O-54)

6.  [All] [Oth] Nightsdeep; Gru attack. Day; Rekjur leads group into countryside to show them rusting remains of an old war engine. Group returns to farm to rest.  Rekjur and others repair broken wall where Gru entered. (O-54)

7.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Group continues along road, passes Village of Darzon. Evening; Group reaches the City of Pydor along the Iridir Rin. (O-54)

8.  [All] Mamra is new. [Oth] Morning; Group leaves Pydor, travels through sloping countryside. Evening; Group camps along roadside. (O-54)

9.  [All] [Oth] Evening; Group arrives at the Ezmiran capital city of Boronon, secures lodging in dock ward. (O-54)

10.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Saldus takes Valus for walk into the city, instructs Valus to head home to Oth.  Dammon spies on Saldus.  Dammon goes shopping. Evening; Valus meets with others at inn and drinks, sings and speaks of his leaving. (O-54)

11.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Dammon ventures into Boronon looking for magic shops. Dammon finds store, conscious finds cat. Jak gives note to Valus for Dadra. Tressta and Jak go gem shopping. Day; Dammon experiments with buggy side-effect. At inn, Dammon is contacted by Master; told to seek highest tower. Jak and Tressta notice circling "birds", return to inn. Inn is attacked by gargoyles, heavily damaged. Gargoyles destroyed. Evening; Group looks for ship. Ezikus visited at ruined inn, taken to keep. Group speaks with captain of the Widower. Group returns to inn to find Ezikus and box missing. Night; Dammon finds another inn. Jak, Saldus and Tressta go to keep and meet with King Kaylyar. (O-55)

12.  [All] [Oth] Nightsdeep; Tressta explores. Guard escorts Tressta into dungeons. Fainting turns to fighting. Tressta is captured and thrown into cell near Ezikus. Morning; Dammon wanders town and finds new inn. Jak and Saldus learn that Tressta has been captured and are denied visits. Jak meets with Thr. A, learns more of gargoyles. Day; Thr. A. leads Jak and Saldus through abandoned parts of keep. On roof Thr. A. shows Jak where the gargoyles roost. Near the port, Dammon follows woman into alley. Woman is asking about Dammon, takes him to Eryvek. Evening; Eryvek examines Dammon. At keep, gargoyles scatter to the skies. Thr. B. (male) speaks with Jak into evening. Night; Ezikus tells Tressta about interrogation (box) and woman in gibbet. (O-56)


Midmonth

13.  [All] Dûntru. [Oth] Morning; Dammon awake in distant inn within city. Commotion wakens Tressta as dark-skinned woman (Zildara) deals with guards and opens Ezikus' cell. Tressta and Zildara, carrying battered Ezikus, begin circuitous escape from the keep. Day; Thr. B. tells Jak and Saldus that notorious man from city given task to open box this night. Evening; Near front door, Tressta kills resting guard and porter. Another guard raises alarm but is also felled. Tressta, Zildara and Ezikus flee over hillside into woods. Keep aroused by alarm, guards scramble, horsemen dispatched. Night; Over perimeter wall, Zildara pickpockets some change and they find inn to hide. Dungeonmaster brought to Jak's room, asks about escaped Tressta. (O-57)

14.  [All] Woad is new. [Oth] Morning; Audience with King Kaylyar, deal struck. Jak and Saldus will kill guardian of the box. Day; Tressta and Zildara rest, tend to Ezikus''s injuries. Night; One last night at keep. (O-57)

15.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Tressta sells necklace. Ezikus awakes thanks to Zildara's attentions. Ezikus is told what transpired. Day; Dammon changes his appearance and approaches keep, pretending a delivery. Dammon finds his way to base of central tower. Dammon levitates up to open window and climbs in. At tower's top Dammon finds ghostly library and steals the spirit and power from the spirit there. A dozen gargoyles shred the top of the tower, stones and shingles rain upon the keep. Tower top is razed. Jak and Saldus watch spectacle with Thr. B. Evening; Jak and Saldus led to box chamber and battle with guardian. Dragon guardian is destroyed. (O-57)

16.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Jak and Saldus leave keep, find inn, check ship. Tressta, Zildara and Ezikus move to inn with Jak and Saldus. Night; Valus arrives to bid everyone farewell. (O-58)


Second Tenday

17.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Group investigates dead? man found by docks. Jak recognizes that the man is Dammon and that is skin is changed. Dammon is brought to inn. Zildara is unable to heal Dammon. (O-58)

18.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Dammon awakens without memory of events leading to his washing-up on shore. Dammon cleans himself. Jak retrieves Dammon's things. Group moves to ship. Ship leaves Boronon. Day; Sailing. Evening; Dinner with the captain. Dammon puts a spell in Jak's ring for "protection against undead". (O-58)

19.  [All] Mamra is full. [Oth] Day; Sailing. Evening; Dinner with the captain. Captain tells of the Widower's history. Night; Dammon detects dweomer from quiet sailor who introduces himself as Urmba. Captain tells Dammon that Urmba spoke like the others until he went overboard, has spoken differently since.  Dammon talks with sailor and detects Müt. (O-58)

20.  [All] [Oth] Day; Sailing. Jak speaks at length with Zildara, trying to learn some Kandàlan. Evening; Dammon's conscious listens to Urmba, but doesn't understand "language". Simple words are learned. Sailor seems to understand magic. (O-58)

21.  [All] [Oth] Day; Sailing. (O-58)

22.  [All] [Oth] Nightsdeep; Urmba wakes Dammon and leads him to deck, under half-Mamra. Dammon meets six inhuman fish-like creatures gathered at ship's prow. Urmba becomes one and they converse. Dammon presented with Zultaya scroll. Day; Sailing. (O-58)

26.  [All] [Oth] Day; Sailing. Evening; Lights of Shalvasal seen through fog. Night; Widower docks. Dammon leaves ship to find inn, visits Amran chapel. (O-58)


Monthturn

27.  [All] [Oth] Morning; Group enters city and finds many soldiers being staged for battle in the south. Tressta visits Amran chapel. Day; Dammon finds bookstore and purchases "Tales of the Fey". Bookseller is geographer and tells Dammon about surrounding lands; Dammon learns of Acentrans and Saranthi; returns to ship. Evening; Dinner on the Widower. (O-58)

28.  [All] Woad is full. [Oth] Morning; Dammon gives Jak book bought in town. Day; Widower leaves port. Sailing to Taládan. Night; Red flying creatures lure Dammon from deck, into waves, but his boots keep him afloat! Sailors leap from deck in response to the creatures' sounds. One escapes. Stone missing from Dammon's staff. (O-58)

Calendars

Here are a list of the most well-known calendar systems

Ancient Reckoning (AR)
A strictly historical calendar that dates backward from the beginning of the High King's calendar.

Before the Wyrm (BW)
A Vulmuran calendar used to reference years preceeding the Reign of Idharaghadi of Samad.

Dekàlan Reckoning (DR)
Calendar adopted following the Fall of Dekàlas.

Emereni Reckoning (ER)
A proper calendar in the Elve tradition, in that it returns to 0 when new ages are entered.

Year of the High King (HK)
Traditional Dekàlan calendar adopted at the coronation of the first High King at Tor Tremendum.  This calendar has fallen from favor since the empire's fall.

Lyrasti Reckoning (LR)
The oldest Uren calendar in continued used today.  An early calendar adopted by late stone age people.  Original records of the calendar remain on menhirs throughout Lyrast.

Year of the Wyrm (YW)
An Acentran calendar measuring the time since the slaying of the wyrmlord Idharaghadi.  Illuminated calendars often portray Aracen slaying the great dragon, a legendary event that marks the beginning of the Acentran civilizations.
