"...[name] stood in the [name2] Hall, a hundred peers watching from the galleys above. She called her Provider's name, and all could feel the power she commanded. [name3] summoned his wards, but all that watched knew his efforts were in vain. The next name she offered was his, and the misery of [name3] was legend."

Features

Grim D'uden (the Elder Woods). Beyond the Northwoods of Oth lies an ancient forest where mortal feet have rarely tred.   The Dekàlan name for the forest is Grim D'uden, which means the Elder Woods.  The Northwoods of Oth are believed to have once been the southern tip of the of the great Grim D'uden.  Even in gentler times when the lands of Uren and Elve were not at war, the region north of the Telàbra Run was forbidden to mortals. Those Uren who dared venture into the giant trees were never seen again.

Côte du Nord

For centuries, the coasts north of the Othic city-state have been home to the pirate kingdoms of the Côte du Nord (the North Coast, the Pirate Coast...).   Here, on the edges of the great Arduwu, Uren settlers have carved themselves a chain of small kingdoms between the vestiges of the Old Empire and the flourishing ports of Vulmura.  Though ancient history tells of people living among the crags and rocky ports for millennia, most of the settlers in this region are believed to be Acentran outcasts, banished from the south after the western occupations following the Great War.  The land available to these hearty people is barren.  Because few dare venture into the bountiful Elve lands to the west, in times of need most of the kingdoms of the Côte du Nord resort to piracy from one another and from ships hugging the coast from Vulmura to Teréthor.
