"Too often days swiftly pass / Weeping in the evening grass / There just is not enough time / Forthings you dreamt you'd do / The hours still drift by.

"Too many years, too high a cost / Too many lessons earned but lost / And still you complain all the time / Cursing the days before you / Lamentng the days gone by.

"And finally laying in your bed / Staring skyward, nearly dead / It all floods back one last time, / The chances that you left behind / But alas there's little left to do / ... but cry."

Sphere of Moons

For ages, the people of Teréth End have charted the movements of its three moons across the night sky.  The importance of these moons and their impact on the lives of those on the world below cannot be understated.  From the measuring of months and years, to the warping of battlefield magics, each of the three moons have played important roles in history.

Perhaps the most significant event among stargazers is a Convergence of the three moons.  A Convergence occurs when all three moons appear simultaneously in their full phase.  Convergence occurs ever forty years or more, always on the New Year.  More important than a Convergence (but also much more rare) is a True Convergence, when each of the full moons appears in the same location.  A True Convergence occurs when Woad's shadow can be seen on the face of Mamra, and Nuléun's shadow can be seen on the face of Woad.  True Convergences are very rare, occurring on average during 1 out of 100 regular Convergences.  During a True Convergence, magic has been known to fail worldwide with catastrophic consequences.  Luckily, the event is often over soon after it occurs.

Mamra

Agammaram, The Green Lady.  Mamra, the largest moon in the night sky above the World of Teréth End, glows with a pale green light.  Special attention is given to the Green Lady because alone among the world's three moons, she is the only one whose movement appears irregular.  Whereas the clockwork movement of Woad and Nuléun are used to define months and years, the appearance and phases of Mamra are not as easily defined.  A second reason for why this moon is carefully charted is that its phases have a profound effect on the Weave, producing both benign and dangerous anomalies in the flow of magics.

Woad

Nuléun

The Elve Moon.  The light of Nuléun is so faint that many never see the Elve Moon except when its shadow passes across the face of its companion spheres.  The deep violet moon, is referred to as the Elve Moon because the Eylfae are earliest people to have charted its motions.  Nuléun is important to the Elve because every ten circuits of the moon mark one Elve year.
